Getting Your Cell Phones & IPods Organized

In my household, everyone has at least one, if not two or three, "Small Tech Stuff" that needs regular recharging, but no proper place to do it at. We all have a variety of cell phones, I-Pods© or MP-3 players, electronic photo displayers and other E-Tools, plugged in for recharging almost everywhere. And, no matter how much you try to hide the 10 cords and the plugs with or without multiple plug extensions cords, it never ever looks good. It just looks bulky, messy, and leaves you feeling "Out-Of-Control". This is not to mention the famous "Where did I plug what in?" syndrome, causing departure anxiety and delays multiple times every day!

In my hunt to find a way to keep everyone's cell phones and I-Pods© organized and always findable, I found the perfect tool to help. It's called the "Southern Enterprises 3 Position Charging Station in Black Faux Leather", which  lets you neatly and nicely dock and charge up to 4 devices at one time. This charging station can be placed in 3 different positions making it easy to set up in almost any spot in your home or office. 

If you decide to check out the product page of this item, you will find quite a few positive reviews, which is one of the reasons I was drawn to this particular charging station. The other reason was to get back the control we all needed over our indispensable electronic rechargeable daily devices.  And, because we can't live without them anymore, I certainly think this is a fantastic way to keep them nicely and neatly displayed and always quickly at hand.

How Tool Cases Organize My Life on the Go

Believe it or not, I’m this family’s handy-woman and tool case collector! I'm constantly on the go and use my collection of tool cases to keep me highly organized.

Now I'm set up with a variety of tool cases that reflect the types of repairs or projects I’m about to take on. Multi-pockets allow me to keep similar items together, which I can then shuffle between tool cases. And I'm not wasting my time by repacking entire bags each time I head out. They are also great for optimally organizing smaller spaces, like my environmentally friendlier car or my sister's apartment. I also use them for all types of projects, from professional business travel to handy-woman fix-its to my jewelry designs. They are also great for moms on the go and the travelling business person.

Recently I found a great tool case selection at EveryToolCase.com. A great bag for these on the go trips is their Platt Bag on Roller Wheels with 30 great Pockets (this one is 24” L x 12”H x 11” D.) They also have smaller ones.

Use Organization Tools in Your Own Unique Way

Finding products that help you build the organization system that fits you the best, is always a challenge, but it simply requires you to use your imagination and to know that anything out there can be an organization tool to be used in your own unique way. Its funny how we rely on stores and manufacturers to define the uses of the products. To be a better organizer, we need to learn to overlook those definitions and create our own personalized definitions based on our personal style!

A good start is to write a list of what one needs to get better organized. A carry-all bag or box, a desk tray for new ideas, or a versatile notebook for new ideas! Then one has to go out and start searching for the best match to your own personal needs and style, keeping in mind that organization tools come in all store departments and don’t need to be limited by their definitions! Create your own uses for it.

For example, the tool department in the hardware store has some great organizers not only for tools, but they are also great for your personal crafting, paint brushes, or jewelry making supplies. And, what I found  in the children’s department at CSNstores.com would also be great for any woman: business, mom, or mom-to-be. It’s their Bin-Go Collection by Skip Hop. They are terrific for anyone wanting to take things on the go with them. Since they look nice, one can easily set them in the corner of one's office or bedroom with ones daily product needs in them, which can include a notepad for ideas and lists, water bottles for more hydration, a small medical kit for emergencies, an extra pair of pantyhose for an important surprise meeting, an extra binky with a bag of baby snacks when baby has to join the errand. All of these items stay in one nice easy to carry space, that looks good wherever it ends up!

Don’t let yourself be limited by the store's or manufacturer's description of a product. Remember, anything is possible, as long as you make the product fit your need. So go out there and find your perfect organizer match, whatever it may be and from whatever department it may come from!
